Founded more than 250 years ago in Russia, Chabad-Lubavitch has grown into a worldwide movement under the leadership of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson. Dedicated to strengthening Jewish life, it serves thousands of Jewish communities through its thousands of centers around the globe. Chabad makes Judaism accessible and meaningful to every Jew, regardless of background or level of observance. Its open-door philosophy welcomes all, without membership or affiliation requirements.
